Flat sheet

Flat products are metal products, for the manufacture of which rolling mills are used. The final product takes the form of a sheet with a smooth or corrugated surface. To change the properties of the metal, it is often processed additionally. The scope of flat-rolled steel is wide: it is used for the construction of structures, in mechanical engineering and other branches of modern industry.

The assortment of flat products includes several items:

Hot rolled steel sheet. Has a length of 2.5 to 6 m, supplied in rolls. The material for the manufacture is steel grades 3PS / SP5 and 09G2S-12. Steel hot-rolled sheets 3 mm thick are in wide demand.

The sheet is galvanized. It can have a thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm. Galvanizing gives the product high strength, increases resistance to aggressive environmental factors. Such sheets retain their qualities for a long time, therefore they are very popular.

Cold rolled sheet. It is made by cold rolling from steel grade 08KP/PS. Delivery of material is carried out in the form of rolls, sheets. The edges can be trimmed and unedged. The thickness of the sheets is standard - 0.5–3 mm.

Corrugated sheet. It differs from the standard sheet by the presence of geometric corrugation on the surface - one-sided or two-sided. Two types of corrugation are in demand - “rhombus” and “lentil”. The desired shape of the sheets is given by hot rolling on special mills.
